Val Barker, affectionately known as Mickey, is an 87-year-old painter who has lived on the North-West coast of lutruwita/Tasmania for her whole life. In her spare time, Mickey enjoys playing golf, lawn bowls and rummy-o with mates. Mickey has enjoyed painting for as long as she can remember, drawing inspiration from the rugged coast of her beloved homeland.
